Sales is the proud profession as Zig Ziglar stated, I have to agree and I started my sales career in 1993, through a modern apprenticeship with BMW my first venture into a white-collar role, I still to this day appreciate the unbelievable sales training both BMW and Russell Smith my Dealer Principal at the time provided me.
Since then I have invested and adapted my craft and implemented great sales training from global leaders like Skip Miller at M3 learning and more recently with Dan Tyre and David Weinhaus at HubSpot.
Regardless of the training, the system, what I’ve found key is building humanistic relationships and a network that you equally contribute to over just taking value from.
I love the work Marcus and the DM team are delivering and how that approach is continuing to build on the already great success the team are experiencing globally. Having been fortunate enough to support Marcus and the DM team at a recent event in London, you can see the amazing network DM has managed to create.

Marcus Murphy is a sales expert who cares deeply about the flourishing and success of entrepreneurs.
Marcus previously worked for Yelp in San Francisco, going from start-up to a multi-billion dollar giant. He has also worked at Infusionsoft as the Global Partner Development Manager where he developed and broadened new international markets through strategic partnerships, sites on the LinkedIn advisory board, and is a recognized instructor and speaker at LinkedIn.
Currently, the Head of Business Development & Partnerships at DigitalMarketer, Marcus has pioneered new and effective techniques that enhance the results of the traditional inside sales model.
He believes a combination of inside sales, social selling, and strategic partnerships are the next generation of business growth.
